This course is designed to give students the necessary skills and confidence to dive in open water in conditions similar to their training without the direct supervision of a scuba diving instructor. If you learn to dive in New England, you can dive anywhere! This program is available to anyone over the age of 12.

• All classes include necessary training documentation (online code) and all scuba equipment except personal gear (fins, mask, snorkel, and boots). Some restrictions apply to scuba equipment.
• The classroom portion consists of 1 night session (4 hours) and the pool portion is 2 (5 hours) sessions.

After completing e-Learning, classroom and pool training, the final step to becoming a certified Open Water diver is performing the check-out dives. During this portion of the training, you will be required to conduct two consecutive days of open water scuba dives. 4 dives minimum. You will be given the opportunity to demonstrate all the skills you’ve learned in the pool in a controlled open water environment under the direct supervision of your instructor to ensure competence as well as confidence.

• The open water fee includes a rental scuba gear package for two days and a photo certification card.
  • Some restrictions apply to rental gear package.
• The fee does not include personal dive gear (see above) or expenses related to necessary travel, park fees or parking, etc.

• If you are a referral student from another instructor, we are happy to assist you, but require that you take a refresher at the pool prior to conducting the open water dives.

In addition to PADI certification, we are also able to offer certification through RAID. Course duration and costs may vary with this option.

Nitrox is a very common and popular alternative breathing gas available to divers at most diving locations today.

• This entry-level certification course is designed for recreational scuba divers that wish to utilize enriched air nitrox (EAN) as a breathing gas. This course will teach you the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for using nitrox mixes containing up to 40 percent oxygen content.
• No dives are required for certification, and this class can be combined with your open water certification.
• Course fee includes, eLearning, classroom, and your certification.

• The program requires that Open Water Divers complete 4 specialties. We include the Deep, Boat, Wreck, Night and Navigation specialties. • You must have a minimum of 25 logged dives as a prerequisite.
